Not the most visually stunning video, but this is the lonely heart mockingbird that sings in my backyard night and day. He's sort of in the center, then you can see him move to a higher branch. Sorry about the jiggly picture, but I was holding the camera over head.

I love young mockingbirds. I love how cocky they are, they remind me of teenage boys and I can't help but chuckle as they preen and bluster.
Yes, the mating phase is pretty cute, but when I have to use an umbrella for protection from dive bombing mockingbird mommies and daddies every time I go in the backyard, the charm wears off a wee bit.
