The other day, at the intersection of Glenn McConnell Blvd. and Magwood, where I regularly almost get killed by red light runners, I happened to get stopped first in line at the red light leaving the St. Francis campus.
This is the shortest of the lights at that large intersection. So it is the longest wait for it to turn back from red to green.
I hit the next button on my CD player to start the counter.
One minute, 24 seconds.
And the oncoming traffic's wait time is less than that.
That is what people are running lights for. Less than two minutes.
They'd rather risk killing an innocent person than wait two minutes.
Loki sez: I don't like to wait two minutes for my supper!
